Sudbury Lime is a partnership company between two local industrial entrepreneurs with an excellent reputation for providing quality service and material to the mining industry. The company was originally formed for the purpose of providing Inco Limited with all their lime slurry requirements for their Sudbury-based operations; however we have since expanded our client base to include other customers in Northern Ontario.

Our plant design is presently capable of processing a maximum of 287 metric tonnes of quicklime per day, which could typically produce over 1 million litres of lime slurry.

Central to our process is a 13.2 standard ton per hour Vertimill® Lime Slaking System, which is the very first of its kind to be installed in Canada. This unique vertical grinding system, along with its recycle design and cyclone classification, virtually assures a “grit” free end product that can eliminate many of the hassles experienced with slurry produced in more conventional type slaking systems.
